Overview

Anmado Island is the largest island in Nagwol-myeon and forms the Anma Archipelago along with six subsidiary islands. The waters near Anmado are primarily known for catching dried yellow croaker, but also yield abundant catches of hairtail, mackerel, flounder, sole, eel, octopus, and Rock. Due to the heavy influence of waves, the coasts of the island have developed into cliffs, sea caves, and jointing layers. In addition, a beautiful seascape unique to Anmado Island unfolds, featuring a harmonious blend of various rare plants and over 60 species of birds.
